Slings that use nylon and polyester are ill-advised here because the steel wire ropes are the strongest. Places where temperature is hot restricts use of other materials as well and encourage the user to trust steel ropes for the job.

Although chain is the strongest material but it’s more susceptible to failure and hence less preferred. Lifting industry prefers steel ropes because these ropes are commonly used and thus widely accepted. The costs are low and considering the durability and protection from corrosion, it is no wonder why big industries that use hoists (temporary man lifts) use steel ropes as cables. Logging industry also benefits from these wire ropes. Construction and lifts use vertical lifting, while logging uses horizontal lifting or dragging. Therefore, steel wires are used to endure tons of weight of wooden logs. Among all of the slings and straps, and other lifting cables, steel wire ropes are at a distinct advantage.
